• Use tracing paper and red marker to trace image. Use graphite on opposite side to color over the red lines. Press graphite side to wc paper and rub along the red outline. Lift an edge to make certain your pressure is hard enough to get a good transfer.

  • Paint light outline of image. Wish I had used the Antwerp blue. Really needed boldness and light touch! Maybe do some warmups to loosen up.

  • Did it work? Should I keep going? Oh no blobs! Oh no mud! Blot, use thirsty brush and step away and let it dry!

  • Keep them light, try to only have two colors mix on paper. Remove blobs with thirsty brush.

  • Applied last layer of spritzed color. Like the blending of colors and subtle transitions from yellow to orange to rose to violet to blue and green.

  • Added shadow with mixture of Antwerp Blue and permanent rose to make a violet. Wish I had stayed with the pure colors and let them mix on the paper. Blotted area under breasts and left a hard edge.

  • The darker shadows adds dimension to the figures. Added a final wash shadow of blue.
